Born in Philadelphia in 1970, Scotty grew up in a family of skilled craftsmen, with his grandfather being a carpenter and his father a mason. At the tender age of 8, Scotty learned to use wood-shop tools and started developing an interest in woodworking. He went on to learn cabinet construction and honed his skills in woodcraft to the point where he could make just about anything from wood.
In 1990, Scotty turned his attention to building electric guitars, and it was then that he found his true calling. Over the years, he has built a reputation as one of the most talented guitar makers in the world, earning multiple quality and design awards from major guitar magazines like Guitar World, Guitar Player, Guitar Aficionado, Premier Guitar, Bass Player Magazine, Bass & Gear, and others.
In 2016, after a successful 20-year run in Carlsbad, California, Scotty moved to Nashville to redesign his business model. While his guitar-making business took a back seat, he fell back on his lifelong trade skills and opened up Nashville Cabinet Installer.com. His business took off, and even though it was meant to be temporary, he found himself with a schedule that was always fully booked.
As of spring 2023, construction and growth in both residential and commercial sectors in Nashville have exploded, keeping Scotty and his team busy with a steady stream of work. Despite his busy schedule, he is set to introduce a brand new limited edition model electric guitar, his "Master Piece," this year.
